Ostracon with register of attendance at work. Labelled ‘Year 40’ of Ramses II, it provides a workmen’s register for 280 days of the year.

HOW

An ostracon was a stone on which they drew a table with names, dates, and notes on attendance/absence at work, as well as the reasons for it. The most interesting is absences reasons.
